There's been a lot of discussion the last few months about New York's Joseph Bruno, the former Republican Majority Leader of the NY State Senate, a position he held for 14 years, mostly about the reason he unexpectedly retired at the peak of his power. He has never fully explained that decision to date.
Well, today the speculation will end - he has just been indicted in Albany, after a 3 year FBI probe into alleged corruption. (Gee, a Republican facing corruption charges? Really?)
